What is the Assignment Tracker?

The Assignment Tracker report gives you a detailed look into the assignments your students have completed on eSpark this year. Assignments must be sent by the teacher. For more information, visit the How to Use Assignments article.

Assignment Tracker - Main Page

The Assignment Tracker report is located under Student Reports on the left side toolbar of your Teacher Dashboard.

From the main page of the Assignment Tracker, you can quickly view progress on each assignment you have sent to students. To do so, you will hover your mouse over the colored progress bar. You can also sort the report by subject & completion type, as well reschedule the assignment date, complete the assignment, or reassign to students that need more practice.

To quickly reassign a single assignment, you will select the blue Reassign button located in the Actions column. This will give you a list of students who did not complete the assignment OR scored below an 80% to reassign that specific lesson to.

Assignment Tracker - Specific Assignment Page

Once you click into a specific assignment, you will see the Assignment Progress page. At a glance, you can preview the assignment, reschedule it, complete the assignment, view the average score, and see how many students have completed the assignment.

Commonly Missed Questions

In the Commonly Missed Questions section, eSpark identifies the top missed questions from the assignment. You can even view the specific answers that each of your students chose. This is a great tool to help drive spiral review questions or identify needs for mini-lesson or small group support.

Student Progress

As you scroll down on the specific assignment report, you will be able to see your student's individual progress with the assignment.

In the Progress column, you will see the 3 parts of every eSpark assignment represented by icons - Instructional Video, Learning Activity, & Post-Quiz. As your students complete each part, that icon will be colored in. You can also view individual student responses.

Once you have selected to "View Student's Response", a window will pop up with all the questions your student answered during the assignment. It will show you the answer chosen by the student and whether it was correct or incorrect. This is another great way to help drive small group instruction or find skills for spiral review.
