Beginning January 2022, students using iPads for eSpark will be transitioning from accessing eSpark via our own native iOS app to a web-based version of eSpark in the browser. This new way of accessing eSpark will still contain all of features teachers and students know and love including engaging games and videos, differentiated instruction, and student video recordings. Following the instructions in this article will make accessing eSpark in the browser look exactly the same from the student perspective!

Adding a web clip through Jamf:

  1. In Jamf, navigate to Profiles in the sidebar.

  2. Click + Create Profile.

  3. Select the operating system you want to make the profile for or select Upload Custom Profile.

  4. Select the type of enrollment you want to make the profile for.

  5. Enter a name in the Profile name field and configure the settings for eSpark

  6. Click Finish.

  7. To configure the profile settings, click the profile you want to configure.

  8. Use the Scope payload to configure the scope of the profile by clicking the + icon and adding device groups to the profile scope.

  9. Use the Web Clips payload to configure the basic settings, including the label (name), URL, icon, and full screen selection.

    1. The Label should say "eSpark"

    2. The Icon can be found here and is also included below.

    3. The Full Screen checkbox should NOT be checked.

  10. Click Save.
