Frontier uses high quality, educational third party content that's curated and vetted by our team of former teachers. The most common reason students are blocked in accessing content inside and outside of Frontier is due to district network filtering restrictions. The following steps will ensure that your students will be able to access all educational content on Frontier. Please note, you may need to involve your tech coach or tech support to assist with this.

1. Please download and install the Frontier Content Checker Chrome extension using this link. To make sure the Content Checker gives an accurate report, please run it on a device that has similar filtering to a student device on the student network. After you run the checker, it will give you a list of sites unblock from your district network filter or add to your allow list.

2. Frontier communicates with a number of hosts over HTTP (TCP port 80) and HTTPS (TCP port 443). Please ensure the following hosts are accessible through your firewall and/or content filter:

  • frontier.esparklearning.com
  • frontier-api.esparklearning.com
  • articulate.esparklearning.com
  • cdn.esparklearning.com
  • media.esparklearning.com
  • media-files.esparklearning.com
  • media-files.esparklearning.s3-us-east-2.amazonaws.com
  • esparklearning-media-cache.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com
  • airbrake.io
  • esparklearning.asknice.ly
  • google-analytics.com
  • intercom.io

If your filter/firewall allows it, please add *.esparklearning.com to your allow list.
