How can I address general glitches on iPads?

iPads used for eSpark must run on iOS 15 or later in order for eSpark to work properly. Unfortunately iPads running on iOS 14 or older often do encounter errors. You can check the iPad iOS by going to Settings>General>About>Version.

If you are using an iPad running on iOS 15 or newer and are experiencing a glitch, try the steps below.

  1. If your students are still using the eSpark app on their iPads, please delete the app and log students in at espark.app on Safari. The eSpark app is out of date and no longer being supported.

  2. Log out of and back into eSpark.

  3. Do a hard reset on the iPad.

    1. Hold the lock button & circular home button down until the screen turns black.

    2. Turn the iPad back on and log back into eSpark.

  4. Reset the settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings. (This is NOT a wipe and doesn't delete apps or content)

  5. Reset the Safari cache. To do this, go to Settings > Safari >Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, get in touch with our Support Team by clicking the blue Intercom button on the bottom right side of the screen. In your message, please include the student's name, the subject the glitch is occurring in, and the troubleshooting steps you've tried.
