eSpark sets and adjusts your student's adaptive learning path levels automatically, but we know that teachers know their students best, so you can always adjust their levels as you see fit!

You can change a student's level from their individual student mastery report, which can be accessed by clicking on their name from the Activity Report or the Progress Report.

How to manually change a student's adaptive learning path level

1. Use the SUBJECT drop-down to choose the subject you'd like to adjust.

2. Click "change their reading level" or "change their math level."

3. Choose a new domain for the student to work on.

πŸ’‘ Note: Some domains will have "easier" or "harder" option. If the "easier" or "harder" button is greyed out, you can use the "choose a different domain" option instead.

4. Click "save" and you're all set! The next time the student logs in, they will see the new level you selected!

How to re-assign the placement quiz

1. Use the SUBJECT drop-down to choose the subject you'd like the student to receive a new placement quiz.

2. Click "change their reading level" or "change their math level."

3. Click "re-assign the placement quiz."

πŸ’‘ Note: we only have placement quizzes for grades 1-5. The placement quiz you can reassign is based on the student's grade level on the Roster tab. If the student is in PK, K, or grades 6+, you will not have the option of reassigning the placement quiz.

4. Confirm your action by clicking "re-assign the placement quiz." Then you're all set! The next time the student logs in, they will take a brand new placement quiz.
